What I've found to be very effective is using my 2 favorite KW tools Micro Niche Finder and Market Samurai in conjunction and then drilling down to get the anchor text - internal pages of the top 10 sites ranked on Google and leaving my own anchor text comment on these P$-5-6-7 sites. Since I started using this technique, my Alexa score has dropped form 240,000 to 202,000 in about 5 weeks.
