If you have been Network Marketing online longer than a month you have probably heard terms like Attraction Marketing, Social Networking and you may be wondering how you connect the dots.

The idea here is that you want to draw people to you the only way you are going to do that is if you really let a person get to know who you are.

One of the biggest mistakes I see online is when a person joins FaceBook, Twitter or YouTube they automatically start making friends and blasting their business opportunity to their new found friends. This is a major mistake, first don’t you think its polite to first socialize before trying to get someones money?
So here is how we solve this problem. Instead of trying to sell someone on your business how you should be using these services is to share with your friends your personality. This way you can attract them to you.
There are 2 services that really let you apply attraction marketing principles.
Today I am going to talk about the first StumbleUpon This service is very cool, basically you set up your profile check off all the different interest you have in the profile section and StumbleUpon will let you surf websites that interest you. Example I am really big into music so I stumbled this site => http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8295813.stm it has absolutely nothing to do with marketing however I tweeted about it and I also sent a link to my facebook profile… So basically what I am doing is sharing my interest with my new found internet friends.
It is okay to market yourself, if you are in business online its what you do. However to go right for the sale is tacky at best and I recommend against it. After you spend a few weeks sharing your interest you also will accomplish something even more important. The people that are looking at their Facebook accounts and twitter accounts will start looking for your tweets and facebook post.
At this point if you do send a link out that pertains to what you are doing, you will have that persons attention and you will already know that they have things in common with you.
That is just one attraction marketing strategy you can start using right now. Now get out their and start stumbling websites…
What a great example of attraction marketing through giving value Larry. I was amazed actually by the power of social bookmarking so can attest to the fact that it is well worth mastering it. Stumbleupon is one of my favourites too.
