How To Find Content For Your blog

by Larry Rivera on February 7, 2010

Blogging is simply one of the best things you can do to build your brand. Writing in a blog doesn’t always have to be a time consuming task.  The main core of your writing should be to educate and entertain your readers.

There are some hard core bloggers who only focus on 1 blog at a time while other writers often times have several that they write in.  I actually write weekly in a few blogs I am always asked how do I find stuff to write about?

One of the ways that I find what to write about is by using a service called Google Alerts!

Simple go the website and type in whatever keyword phrase you want to watch. This will give you a idea of what people are writing about in your niche.   You might call this a dirty trick, but you can check out some of the websites you find and re-write the content and make it your own.

Consider This:

When writing in your blog/journal think about your readers first.   Educate them and entertain them , your goal is to turn a visitor into a repeat visitor.  Using Google Alerts is a good way to keep an eye on what is going on in your industry and what people are looking for. I set mine up to notify my daily of all the keyword phrases I want to keep an eye on.  By doing this I can always find ideas to work with.

Another great way to get content:

Vlogging is another way to spice up your blog and make it more interesting. With all the video sharing sites online you should never be at a loss for information to share.  Video’s make your blog come to life, it doesn’t have to be your video it can be any video that you are interested in. Just try and keep the video themed to the post.

The idea here is to use what is available to you, the internet has made it very easy to collect all sorts of information. Don’t try an re-invent the wheel think of writing a blog post like you are doing a book report.

When it comes to content, worry more about your readers then selling your business and you will be well on your way to having a profitable blog.

Internet Marketing – Not For The Weak Of Heart!

by Larry Rivera on February 6, 2010

There are so many people  *new* systems of marketing online coming out daily that it really can get very confusing. Recently I went on a buying spree and spent about $600 on new software and information.  Pretty much everything I bought came from reputable marketers online.  I know many of you reading this are wondering if the money was worth it?

It was worth it, I learned a lot of new information but more than that, I realized that I really do already know a lot.  Much of the information I know in my head I never get around to applying. This has caused me to take some time out and re-invent myself so to speak.

I believe ultimately everyone who is seeking to earn a living online does so not realizing just how hard it really is.  I recently bought a program for $457 I am not going to say which one, but the sales copy was basically they same format Keith Wellman used in his most recent product launch.

After I paid the money got into the back office all prepared to learn how to earn 12,600 a year from 1 niche website, to my horror the sales copy was fresh , new and inventive. The guy had pretty impressive stats. But the product itself , well lets just say it wasn’t really worth more than $77 ,

A lot of  high  ticket products are really high priced junk that is not innovative or new.  I buy stuff all the time because I personally wanna see for myself what a person is selling.

I can tell you after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars buying different “marketing” methods that the truth is regardless of what you do, there is no secret out there that will magically help you earn a living online.

It is very possible to earn money online,  it will never be easy nor will it ever actually be cheap.  Yes there are many things you can do that will drive free traffic to your website,

I recently just learned of a brand new product that really isn’t brand new that teaches you how to make simple software applications that you can upload to software download sites that could potentially bring you tons of free traffic.

Does it work?   YES!

But here is the thing,

Many times we are trying to sell something we want to sell or believe in. The truth is if you want to make money online, actually sell products to people that are looking for them.  Don’t make the mistake of trying to sell something in a market where people are window shoppers…

Perfect Example is this: My wife recently joined Mary Kay -> Mainly because she actually uses the product.  Ironically she has made more in 4 days as rep for mary kay knowing nothing at all about marketing online or offline, simply because she is in a buyers market. The truth is there are people online who struggle for years and never see any real affiliate commissions.

Internet marketing works the same way, find a demand and fill it, it really is that easy….
